FNG post, new (to me) 1997 EX Coupe
Greetings!
Just purchased a 1997 EX Coupe, 5sp 4cyl in pretty damn good condition! Dark green with tan leather and pretty good miles (135k). Body and paint are pretty solid and it seems solid mechanically. The original owner traded it a couple of months ago for an Acura and I bought it from the dealership that took it in on trade. CARFAX was clean as a whistle and the little coupe runs super.
I have to admit, I owned a similar EX (sedan) back in the late 90's so this particular style has always been a favorite.
I picked it up since I will be relocating to New England (from SE Georgia) soon and need a comfortable car that gets good mileage and will do well in the winters. It will be a nice addition from the mileage perspective, since we are currently driving a Tahoe and a Silverado truck, both 4wd and both a bit on the thirsty side!
Anyway, looking forward to learning more about these and hopefully, tapping some other's experience here. I have pretty much zero for service records so suggestions for items to look out for and check would be appreciated. No clue if the timing belt was done, but it looks like the covers have been off (based on minor galling on the bolt heads) and overall the car seems to be VERY well maintained.

My "better-half" picks at me since I tend to research everything to death, so looking forward to learning from the folks here!
Seems like there is a descent following for the 5th gen Accords- can't say I blame them!
