Default Hello fellow enthusiests!

What's up everybody? I'm happy to say that I found this forum. I am a former owner of a 93 Integra which I unfortunately had to sell when moving back to the midwest. While I ownedmy DAI found g2ic.com and was pleased with how much info and help I recieved there.I've always loved the early 90's accord and thought it would be fun to own one one day. My wife and I were looking for some reliable and affordable transportation (Honda's obviously). We stumbled upon a 91 LX with about 130k. It's a beige or gold color. Unfortunately, it's an automatic. I may have plans in the future to convert to manual, or just leave it alone and buy another accord with a stick. In my second day of driving I'd have to say I love it (like I knew I would.) I have some pretty decent ideas about what I would like to accomplish with this car (keeping in mind this is my family's only ride for now) and I know that cruising through these forums will help me make some educated decisions. I'm excited to be here and look forward to many hours of searching! hahah

Peace,
Rob

Hey Rob!
Gald to have you on board here! And its good to see your liking the Accord too! Dont abuse it and it will last forever, but there are a slew of aftermarket parts for the Accords! Check out eBay and youll spend a couple of hours going throguh everything which will give you some ideas! We are lucky to have quite a few VERY knowledgeable guys on this forum! Enjoy your stay!

I would guess the answer to be "yes"; the question is "Why bother?" What with the vast number of cars on the market with automatic transmissions, and the relatively high demand for used cars with manual transmissions, you would be far better off selling your current ride and buying an otherwise identical car with an automatic.

I agree, converting a manual to an automatic is not cost effective
