Hello From Southern Minnesota
Hi,
Just bought a 2014 Accord LX 4 door sedan with a 6 speed manual!
I had a 2011 Ford Fiesta 4 door sedan with the 5 speed manual. It was a nice car to drive, nice and quiet, but horribly unreliable. I didn't think there were cars this bad since the '70's. Every time I got in the car I thought "I hate you car". Started out looking at compacts, ended up narrowing down to a Civic. Then for kicks I did the build one on the web site, and to my surprise it listed a manual transmission. I like manuals. I will not buy an auto. Went to a Honda dealer and they found one, and it was a lot less than I thought it would be, plus lots of extras standard. The alloys are cool. I commute 64 miles a day to work, so mpg's are an issue. It is tied for second for all the cars I've owned! Looks list only 3-4 less than the Fiesta.
Other cars I owned are the Ford Fiesta.
Prior to that I had a Toyota Matrix. Looked cool, but had no soul. Also the transmission had to be replaced! It had more squeaks than my almost 50 year old Chevy Corvair Convertible! While I didn't hate the car, I didn't like it either. Before that was a '95 Neon. Cheap, fast and fun to drive. Also reliable. 217,000 miles on that. Before that was a '85 Ford Tempo. 5 speed again. Nice car, very nice interior. Biggest upgrade I ever had in cars from the previous car. That car was a '76 Pontiac Astre. It's was a Chevy Vega clone. A completely bad car. Unbelivable poor workmanship. And that was the good part. Fixing something all the time. Made the Fiesta seem like a Honda!
I also have a '65 Chevy Corvair convertible. Fun car.
