Default Hey

Hey everyone, my names Garrett, Ijust found this site yesterday while looking for info on Hondas and it seemed helpful. My parents just bought an '04 Acura TSX and passed the Honda down to me, so now i'm looking foward to working on it, but i'm completely new to the tuner stuff.Prior to the Honda i wasdriving an '83 Dodge Ram so its a big step, but ienjoythe Honda much more. It's a white 2000 Accord EX with the V6, everything is stock at the moment, so if anyone hasanyrecommendations for what i could add first i'd appreciate it.

It has 95k miles on itandthe honda dealerjust replaced the tranny less than a few hundred miles ago since it was still under warranty, but I've had some issues with it since then so I took it back and they said they found nothing wrong with it. Occasionally when i'm at a stop the car won't go, and when i hit the gas it sits there for a little bit like its in neutral but eventually the car catches up and starts moving.
I also just ordered an intakesystem and get paid this week so headers could be coming soon, or would it be better to get headers and exhaust installed at the same time?

I haven't got exhaust or headers yet and i'm not sure which ones are good, but i've seen a lot of ya'll with either the Apexi WS2 or the Greddy EVO2, so i may get one of them.I alsoread a thread where someone wanted to know which was better and the conclusion seemed to be that both are good and either would probably be fine.I already ordered an AEM v2 intake, just waiting for it to come in right now.

I am having one problem with the car.Occasionally when i am at a complete stopand then i start togo i push the gas but the car sits therelike it's in neutral, as i keep pushing the gas i can hear theenginegoing and i start to creep fowardvery slowly.Eventually the car catches up to the engine and theneverything is alright. So myquestion to those of you who have more knowledge on this stuff is: Do ya'll have any idea what is wrong. The tranny was replaced by the Honda dealera few hundred miles ago and it didn't do this before that.

i cant say i know what that excastly is, my first guess is the tranny, but like you said you had it replaced (lucky you) what i would do is take it to honda specialist, you already tryed the dealer they said they found nuthing wrong, so try somewhere els someone thats a expert in hondas, good luck with that ,,, Good choice with the AEM V2, i have a AEM COLD AIR,, sick intakes, as far as exhaust i got the Greddy evo2 cat backs DUEL, they are big, and amazingly they dont make loud anoyying noise, they are deep toned sounds awsome ( one problem is that cops see it and think it sounds really loud i got pulled over couple times cuzz of them, had to explaine to the cop even show them sometimes that they are not loud, THEY JUST LOOK LOUD!!!!!) KEEP IN MIND I HAVE THE CAT ON , IF I TOOK THAT OFF SOUND WILL INCREASE BY X3 - X5 , but then it wont pass smog ,, thats the thing with name brand like greddy if you install them correcrly they will pass all laws, and as far as headers i dont have those yet, i have two and only two to chose from, DC sport (only becuase they will pass the carbs laws here were im at BURBANK,C.A. ) or OBX stainless steal headers, hope this helps,,,,,, by the way i had these greddys on for about 4 years agonow and the price has not changed!!!!!!

Thanks for advice, if i do get the exhaust i would also need the duel.I'll still be looking around researching for a few months until tax money comes in.For now though with my issue i'll just have to hope the car is adjusting to the cold and the fact that itsnot being garage kept anymore.
