Hey Yall
New to HAF and just wanted introduce myself. Born and raised in the great state of Texas. I was introduced to the world of Accords as a teenager when my cousin was basically given a 1994 Accord EX by his grandmother. It only had about 80000 miles on it. We spent hours under the hood: AEM cold air intake, ECU upgrade, performance wires/plugs, Magnaflow catback exhaust, and too much more to list. However, we were young and stupid and she met her unfortunate demise on the back roads of Deep East Texas. (drifting and gravel roads dont mix) We had plans of fixing her back to her former glory, but our parents decided to sell it before we hurt someone or ourselves.
Fast-forward eight years. I recently purchased a '91 Accord LX to drive back and forth to work. I picked it up for next to nothing and cannot believe what great shape it is in. 180,000 mi and the previous owner put a new timing belt, distrib./plugs and wires, and it looks like he did a quality job. I have a family now, so im still trying to decide whether I want to invest in mods or not. I do know that this baby has the potential to be around for a long time.
Any suggestions on maybe what i should/shouldnt do to it would be greatly appreciated.
-And, as we say in East Texas, "Yall have a good one, and keep her between the ditches"

Yes, welcome to HAF.
Me, I'd spend my money and time on regular stuff - suspension, tune ups, ect.
A popular swap is an H engine. Unless you really want to go for it, a turbo on the F is another good option. I say really go for it as you would want a "good bottom end", also I would only go for that if the car is a stick.

The guy i got it from had the service records all the way back from when it rolled off the lot in 1990. It had a complete suspension overhaul like 30,000 miles ago at 150,000, along with new cv joints. The car has been really well maintained. Poorman, you hit the nail on the head because my biggest concern will be preventatie/routine maint.
