RE: Hi!! One more Accord... From Brazil
Welcome,
We in the UK unfortunately are like yourselves. Non patriotic apart from soccer (or football as we call it). The Americans are very patriotic which I believe has helped make the country so successful.
For instance in the UK we have been buying non-domestic items such as cars for a long time. When our "British Leyland" had the attittude that they could produce any old crap and the British public would buy it, we did not. That spelled the end for what eventually became Rover.
I applaud the Americans for buying domestic items generally. This even includes Hondas to a larger degree as they are quite often designed in the US and the US models usually manufactured there (my first Civic coupe was). I guess it is changing a little now as there are more Japanese vehicles being imported to the US.
Sorry for the rant [:@]
PS your English is far better than my Portuguese

malcqv,
I agree! We have to value our country, but its not happens here. In Brazil, the people say "Oh, this is imported!" Here, imported= better. When somebody I know talk badly about USA, I say: "Why the brazilians like to put names in stores, restaurants, shoppings... All in english?" For me, this is a big hypocrisy!
Sorry for the rant, too![sm=smiley4.gif]
Nice to meet you! [sm=hail.gif]
