Unhappy Hi there!

I'm new (obviously)
I enjoy many things...cars being one of them.
I drive a 91 Accord LX (manual) <3
240,000 miles
It has it's issues...it has many issues.
I am without a job at the moment, so repairing her is taking some time.
It seems to be one thing after another (since I got hit, anyway)
We were t-boned by a half ton Chevy truck.
My car went home on it's own, his wasn't so lucky.
I had to buy a windshield, both passenger side doors and the front quarter panel.
We pulled all these parts from the same model/year Accord.
The windshield cracked while we were removing it, so still have the busted one. I put the new panel on, that fit nicely. Wired the new doors with my existing wiring from my smashed doors (everything in them still worked!) Put my existing panels on and mounted the door....much to my dismay the frame was bent. Something I have never dealt with before. I didn't know what to look for, but yeah...the pillar inbetween the doors is bent in about 3 inches. All my hard work for squat.
SO I'm now trying to find work (I have been for some time) The body work is going to be about 300 bucks...sucks.
I'm becoming hesitant about having this work done, because my car is having more and more issues. Third gear grinds into place most of the time, even if I am gentle. Everyone thinks I'm trying to race them, there's a leak in my exhaust, so she's loud even when I'm just inching forward at a stop light. The middle spark plugs are flooded. She burns oil. Makes these weird bogging out noises when you let off the gas. Squeaks and creaks down the road. It idles super crazy upon start up (if it hasn't been running for over 10 hours) starts at 2, drops below 1, goes up to almost 3, comes back down to 2, back down to 1. After about 5 minutes of that, it idles normally just above 1.
I plan on rebuilding the headgaskets, replacing the tie rods and shocks....there was a lot I wanted to do before we were smashed, the list has grown and there is so much to do! I just hope she's still alive when I find work. :P
I would like to keep my Honda forever, so if you have any ideas about anything, let me know.
I am a girl and I am still learning a lot about vehicles. I would like to be a mechanic someday. I have not been taken seriously on many occasions, kinda sucks.
Sorry for the length! I'm very glad to be here.
Any input about anything or just a "hi" would be just dandy. >_<

Thank You for posting with us here in the HAF...
You do have some problems for sure and you should try and just fix one at a time.

Pick a certain fix question and put it in the General Tech forum for starters..
I will see you around in these forums then.

Haha! Yes, problems for sure. The awesome thing is, my car is paid for and hasn't been out of service since I bought it. There's one thing to not complain about. >_<

Thanks for the help (telling me where to post, I don't wanna make people mad)
See you around!
