Hey all, just picked up a 2009 Accord Coupe, 91k miles. Very well taken cared for with clear bra BUT I noticed an aftermarket item under the hood after I got home with it. Attached to the MAF is a SLR Motorsports "Performance chip" I'm guessing this eBay gem just tricks the MAF to run better and get fractionally better MPG.

 

Yank the chip, it doesn't do squat.

 

Or it spoofs the temperature measurement to keep the engine in it's cold-start enrichment program - resulting in worse MPG.
