Hey whats up guys? im new to the forum. I have a Black 1996 Honda accord 4 cylinder EX sedan- its only got 33k miles...so far i have a AEM V2 SRI and Pirelli tires on the front. The car drives pretty well considering its 10 years old but it also has very low miles....Its automatic and about a year ago i was having problems with the tranny. The dealer tried to rip me off and said i had to replace the whole thing. So i brought it to a gas station and they resealed it and its been driving pretty good. I was just looking at the recalls, i think i got the electrical recall done but not the one about the throttle cable, i sense the same thing then the car feels like its hesitating....if i bring it to the dealer, this is a free fix? I was also thinking of turboing the car, nothing major just to get alil extra horsepower and have it run reliably with no lil problems....I also want to keep the cost low...Other then that, let me know what you guys think, thanks
ooo, and i almost forgot, whats the deal with the front windows going off the track and getting messed up, I must have replaced my drivers side window motor about 3 times, body shops cant figure out how to fix the window,- please link me to an article on here for info on that, thanks

Well first, welcome to the forum! I thought my Accord had low miles (just hit 80k today). 33k, is amazing! You have a nice start and let me tell you, there are ALOT of modifactions you can do you your Accord. Sorry to hear about the tranny problem, I would change your tranny fluid asap. Changing it frequently or adding an external tranny cooler will extend the life of any transmission. Recall wise? All mine were done before I bought the car, so either check the 'recall' section towatrds the top of the site, go to google, or call your dealership.
Turbo eh? Lucky! You can safely run up to 8 psi on your stock motor/internal but if it were me, I would go no higher than 6. But if you drive it hard your going to be shortening the life of your motor and tranny.
Window wise, alot of people who have 96-97 have problems with the windows being super slow, so some people spray it with a silicone lubricant. You also can adjust your tracks by taking your door panel off. Hope thats gotten a start on your questions, and welcome again!

its actually my moms car and a project car for myself because she never uses it. My daily driver is a 06 rsx type-s...ive had that constant window problem for the past 4-5 years. Its not that its just slow, the window gets stuck and i got the track adjusted, window motor replaced, the mechanic cant seem to figure out how to fix it. If someone can show me a do-it yourself that would b very helpful if its available. I was hoping to mod a slow car and make it faster then my rsx-s for a lower cost then it would be to turbo my rsx....from what ive read i doubt thats gonna happen..it may cost 1k for a custom kit, but then im gonna want the boost controller, turbo timer, gauges, this and that, i dunt think it will be worth it...

Well im glad to see Accords with that high of mileage and still running strong...it only reassures me of Hondas quality! Although I have low miles, a person from Inida had previusly owned my car and there are lots of scratches on the bumpers, trunk lid, and roof (not to noticeable though)....plus a curry stain on the floor mat. Aw well.
Welcome to our little corner of the net..........
as for the window....you need to r+r dpoor panel, take a look at the run channel if it is corrupted....,, if ok, you might have a bad regulator, if ok,, there are 2 10mm bolts at the bottom of the lower tracks, loosen them up and push both guides inward. tighten the bolts lube the channels with some wd-40, silicone, or greasae , and see what happens
