Default Intro............

Hey, just checked out the forum, liked it, so I registered. I'm not a Honda guy, I'm fairly new to the game. I was just given a 94 Honda Accord by a family member. It had some issues, and worked them out so I can drive it. I've got a project going on, that is on hold because of this BAD economy. I drag race in my 86 Mustang GT which is currently torn all apart. I'm boosting a 4valve motor, but it's on hold. I'm looking to do some mods to my 94 Accord. I'm starting out with the simple stuff, like intake and exhaust. The car has a 2.2L Vtec with an automatic, with 146k on it. I prefer not to get into swapping the engine, so what types of things can I do to the 2.2L? I've got a small turbo with an intercooler, the turbo is good to 18psi, or so I'm told. I'm just looking to mess around with the car to have a fun daily driver.

they can take some boost stock, i wouldnt push more than 8 or so psi stock, but that will give you a good 200whp. welcome to the forum

yeah, I'm not looking to build a honda drag car or anything. If the car ran 13's, I'd be happy.

Welcome to the forum! Good to have another Mustang guy! My first car was a 90 Gt 5spd. A lady ran a red light and I totaled it when I was 17. Then i got the 91 (5.0) LX (Autotragic, and convertible) to go to college in. I still have it. It has over 170k on it and still runs good. I just never had any interest in modding an automatic, and I never had the time or money to build a drag car, but they interest me very much.
If I had found another 5.0 with a manual trans, I may not have ever even found this forum cause I would probably still be driving it! But I now love my Honda. The gas mileage is wonderful and the 5spd is actually pretty zippy, but nothing compares to a manual trans mustang IMO. Fairly cheap, easy to mod, easy to work on,already fast stock, only downside in my opinion is the gas mileage

I wouldnt call it fast.........I would call it quick. you will need more than 200whp to run 13s, so you will have to modify the internals. I see EK/EGs run 10s often, sometimes 9s.
