Today I purchased my first Accord! My previous runabout was a 1988 Lincoln Town Car. It was a big comfy car, but it was a project and I didn't have the patience for it anymore. After deciding on the trim and options I wanted I found this earlier this week.
That is my F150 next to it. I'll be keeping that one. I gotta say I like this car a lot! It is a 2012 with the 2.4L, 5 speed auto, sand leather interior, and VERY well kept with only 118,000K. The owner put some tasteful aftermarket rims and tint on it, which I like.
Some more background on me. Myself, my dad, and my grandfather have all always owned Fords. I'm 25 and I've owned 3 of them. A dedicated Honda owner buddy of mine has always knocked the American cars for good reasons that I can't deny. I simply accepted the neediness of American cars and lived with them. We used to butt heads over brands hardcore. Always rivals when it came to cars. Until a day three weeks ago. My Town Car, despite all it's other electrical gremlins, has always run and driven. Then one morning on my way to work it didn't crank. I broke. That instantly detached me. I live in an apartment now and not at my parents where I had a shop to fix it. I decided then and there to let it go and buy something else. Ultimately decided on Honda. Today I told my buddy what I did and he was shocked!
