Default long time driver, first time buyer...

ok, well maybe not so much. Just bought first Accord (used). 1996 LX 5 speed. Should have plates on it Monday, tomorrow will be time to clean out and spend some one on one time with it. Son has already volunteered to help - which is good as he still has a few years before getting license so the car is safe for now.

crunched the first tank of gas's (?) mileage, 23.92 mpg for city driving. Not a bad place to start for a car that has 137k on it.

if it has an auto you should do a drain and fill using only Honda ATF from the dealer.

Welcome, I would expect a little better mpg out of it, might want to do a tune up.

Will do when the temps come up a bit. As far as expectations on city driving, what should I shoot for? I noticed that on first minute of idle it is high (1500 rpm) and then comes down when warmed up.
