My niece had a 1998 that lost the transmission...cost her almost $1400 to fix it. When it started to fail a few years later, she traded it in on a new 2003 Vtec Accord V6. That thing is sweet...drives like a Benz.

Seems like it would just be cheaper and make more sense to go looking for a stick shift instead. :)

Stick would certainly be a better option, but it would be costly if he can't find an Accord that is already a stick.

I live in Illinois. Bloomington specifically.

I found a nice 2003 Accord EX for sale. 90k miles, asking about 9.8 for it. Do they have any sort of big problems with them?

Or rather, maybe I should ask which Accords don't have any major problems. I don't mind small problems, every car is bound to have them. Just don't want any that would make it undrivable.
