I'm looking into purchasing a red 2003 Honda Accord V6 Sedan Ex Model. The car has only 17,000 miles and has been garaged kept. They want $17,000 for the car but I'm sure I can lower the price. It has the 7-year warranty with it so about a yearor two of warranty is still left. Seems like a pretty good deal to me. Should I purchase a standard 06-07 instead for around the same price? Is it worth sacraficing the v6 and the fully loaded options? I would like to know some information about this model. It will be a private purchase so I would like to know what exactly to look for. Any problems with this car? Any advice, suggestions, information would be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance,
Adam

Well adam you should take the car for a test drive. Look under the hood to make sure there isnt a spike through the engine block, or anything really noticable. See if they have maintince records. And check kbb.com and input all the information on the car and see what they say. But sounds to me that you have an acurate price. I bought my 04 in 2005 with 19K miles and i paid $19K its now 2007 and i have 42K miles (but that part is just a gripe)
It sounds like a pretty good deal to me.... the only "problem" I know of with that particular year is that the clock likes to go out.... otherwise that's the model year that I want to get in the future

Try and see if there is a carfax on it also. Also atest drive will be the determining factor I think.

Ok, just confimed everything.. Turns out I got the car for only $14,000... Seller was a friend of the family.. Carfax had no accidents or any damages... Just registration and insurances.. Car is in perfect condition... Still has that new car smell and there are no wrinkles, scratches, dents, etc. on the car... Time to research on some mods.. Thanks for the info..

If so this is a 5 minute fix with a $1.50 part from Radio Trash (Radio Shack). The reason the light goes out frequently, IMO, is that the light is always on when the car is running.
