Default My 1999 VTEC Accod is too good to be true?

I am in Scotland and paid 700 for this car. Its bodywork has a few scratches and dings and dents but I don't care too much about that. Its still gorgeous. However, I am worried there MUST be something wrong with it as I bought it on online auction. Its a fantastic car and drives smooth and beautiful. Its just passed its MOT with no advisories and I am over the moon.

But can someone please tell me what I should be careful of? If something IS wrong, what do I check? Or am I just lucky?

I drove it 60 miles home when I bought it. No issues. I've driven it 50 miles since. No issues. I find myself starting to think that I got a bargain.

Did I?

WELCOME!

I guess automatic transmissions are uncommon over there, but if yours IS automatic, then be gentle with it. That's a weak spot for those years Hondas.

Its a manual. I LOVE IT. I'm not a boy racer (43) but coming the engine response really surprised me. And its a pleasure to drive.

Couldn't believe all the extras. I'll have to post some photos soon. The interior is amazing.

Honda manual trans is almost bulletproof.
Keep after the maintenance, oil-changes & stuff like that. It can last a long LONG time.

Just wanted to say hello again and say that I'm about a tank of petrol and a bit in now - maybe 400 miles. I notice that the engine is rough at row levs when cold, but only for a few minutes.

No warning lights. The brakes seem to feel... uneven... when braking hard, but its very mild.

We're all loving the car and today bought it a present.
