What color exterior and interior did you order?

Also what extra options did you order for your Honda?

Thanks for your feedback!.... I believe I will request Black exterior color and interior black leather. Nav system si not available in Mexico, so i will get the more expensive accord out here. The only issue is I maybe request automatic instead of manual transmission because here on mex sometimes traffic is so crazy so we need auto transmission... regards

black on black ?? leather interior ?? I live in AZ and that is the last thing i would reccomend to someone who lives in a HOT climate ....
it will take quite a while longer for the car to cool down on the inside ..

auto over manual ??

But whatever you decide on,, ENJOY IT

I don't live in a HOT climate. Here in mexico city, always have 11 ~ 21 temp, this is cool. I don't like HOT, maybe you believe I live in Acapulco o Cancun (where everybody come to beach)... this is not my case.

Regarding the Automatic transmision, you are right. Is extrange to pick up an Automatic transmition in an sporty car, but believe me, in this city you don't want a Manual transmission in traffic hours! is crazy! You need to change shifts every minute, take 2 hours from home to work and backwards just because the crazy traffic!

In the past I had a Ford Fiesta, Ford Focus & Ford Ecosport, all with manual transmission. Clutchs do not support the crazy traffic in this city, this is why I pick up automatic transmision in my actual Accord EX 2.4 iVTEC and is the best!

But let me tell you one thing... I'm very frustrated [sm=insomnia.gif] because today, in the test drive in the Honda agency, I drove an Accord EX V6 244HP (not coupe but same engine) to check the engine difference with my actual 2.4L, i DONĀ“t know WHY but I press the pedal and don't feel the power!!!!!... In my 2.4L iVTEC, when i press the pedal to the top, the Automatic transmission downshift 1 or even 2 speeds and you feel the power!, In the V6, the engine start to up and up (but you feel you need a downshift) - but this never happen! I was very frustrated and power hungry and feels the real speed in my 2.4 instead!

I test it in several drive conditions and REALLY don't understand why this happens, maybe iVTEC is better than VTEC, maybe the Automatic transmision is not tuned in the same way like the 2.4 L. I'm very confused and now my decision of change my 2.4L by the 3.0 is in jeopardy.

Please help

forgive my ignorance i thought that most of Mexico if not all got very hot and humid.........

and also i do not mean to ask so may questions ,, but if you want to get an auto tranny because you are concerned with all the bad traffic than why would you want to get a v6 with 244 horse powers if you cannot open it up that much and really enjoy the power ..

No. In the north of Mexico, temp reach to frozen values.

regarding your other issue, about why I want a powerfull and fast car if i need to go at 5 miles x hour, this happens only when i go to work or return. At night or during the weekends, I can use the power of my car!

I'm very frustrated now, I believe today when I test the V6 i will receive lot of power when push the pedal, but this never happens!... Automatic transmision is VERY bad in the V6!!! no downshift like in the 4 cylinder versions! And i donĀ“t believe this car do less than 6 seconds in the 0 ~ 60 m

You should notice the v6 power more in the higher gears. First gear may not feel too different but you will notice a big difference for instance passing on the highway.

Like nimoxp suggest, I think you would notice that added power at highway passing speeds.

But I had heard many people say the 4 just feels "quicker" than the 6. I can't really comment on it as I've never test drove any accord v6's, but it's just weird to have heard so many people report the same thing.

The v6 is faster than the 4 though, so if you want more power it's the car to get. I'm sure the manual transmission version would make the power difference apparent (I know you don't want manual, though).

In the end get the car that feels best to you. Take the v6 out on the highway if you can to really get that motor spinning.

Thanks to your post and the Nimoxp post, now have more sense to me.

I read so much information about the Accord in the internet and manuals. Now with this explanation have more sense. I agree in the following: the V6 auto cannot beat the L4 accord, the L4 accord automatic transmission is tuned to downshift better because the engine have less HP. This is why if in my accord 2.4 I go at 4th and push the pedal, the car downshift to third or maybe 2nd speed!!! you feel the torque, aceleration and feel the speed in amazing way!... in the V6, if you press the pedal to top, NO DOWNSHIFT OCCUR!!!... the engine TRY to give you more power and thats it!!!

I'm not a car specialist but I like too much cars and see every tv show outhere, i have friends with porsche's, ferraris and other good bmws. I'm concerned now because my new question is: is the v6 automatic coupe able to beat the 6.0 seconds barrier as I read in car and driver or this only applies to the Manual transmision?

My change from L4 2.4 to V6 is in jeopardy, and i want so much to switch to better engine... but now I don't know!
