I've been a Honda owner since 1992, when i bought an Integra GS-R. I've been fortunate to have Accords as company cars as well: a 1997 EX 4cyl AT, 2001 4 door EX 4 cyl MT, and a 2004 EX-L 4 cyl AT. I liked the 1997 model for it's light an nimble road feel, and the 2004 model brought back that feeling which was lost on the 2001 model. The 06 V6 Accord 6spd Sedan appeals to me as did the GS-R in that both models relatively few in number--kind of "sleepers" in my eyes. The GS-R back then was not marketed heavily, and the V6 4D MT accounts for only 1% of Honda's 4 door production numbers. The other thing that appeals to me is that the power to weight ratio of the Accord is almost identical to the TL (now that the TL has been downgraded to 250-something HP, and it weighs a few pounds more. C&D timed the Accord at 0-60 in 5.9--faster than the TL and the BMW530i. The engineering that goes into the Honda engine is outstanding. To get a car with so much power and refinement at such a low price is a bargain in my book. Thanks for reading my opinion!
