My name is Clint and I recently bought my first Accord (not my first Honda though). It is an '89 DX 5sp. It runs well but has some issues in the rear suspension for which I have already ordered the parts. I was going to gut it and cage it to make a Rally Pre-Runner but it is in too nice a shape to do that. The cruise and AC both work as well as the headlamp door motors. At this point I think I will go through it and fix some of the small things and make my daily driver. Any and all advice, warnings, heads-ups & things learned through experience will be appreciated.

Clint

Welcome.

You had me worried at first, then I saw you plans changed....I love the 3rd gen (86-89) Accords-check my signature and you see I have four of them

Advise, just keep up with the maint items (fluids, filters, tune up, ect) and the Timing belt and enjoy.

If you do run into something that you can't figure out or find in other posts.....post up in the Gen Tech section and we should be able to help.
