New to forum but not Hondas
Hey guys ....this is a great forum. In college, my first used Honda was a 1983 accord lx, then i moved to an 86 accord LXi. I moved to a buick for a few years but quickly went back toHondawith my95 accord EX (for the past several years). I bought her with just 24,000 miles (she currently has 144,000 and going strong). I've briefly owned a couple of civics too.
The 95 has been a wonderful car and I hope to get many more years out of her. I do 7000 mile oil changes using only Mobil 1 fully synthetic and high quality oil filters. Yes, the timing belt/water pump was replaced (a bit late at 120,000 miles). I never abuse the car but have made a few visual modifications:
-Eibach Prokit springs/Agx adjustable struts (just a minor drop but great for handling and visuals)
-17" Montegi Racing wheels and 17" wheels. I intially ran on Bridgestone Potenza tiresbut currently run on Perelli's.
-Strut bar (for stability)
-Bremco rotors (but original calipers....painted shiny red/silver)
I'm not looking to show off but just wanted a nice looking ride. Even though it's 13 years old, I still get compliments on the car. Sadly she is starting to show her age with some rust spots (im in Michigan) but I will drive her for many more years.
I will try to upload a picture or two
