Default New to Forum, need to make a decision

Hello everyone, I am a new member of this forum. I own a 2003 Honda Accord V6 EX-L. I bought the car in '13 with 196,000 miles on it. Right off the bat it started giving me trouble with the tranny (it's an automatic). So, I ended up replacing it with a new one for around $1200 (the dealer gave me a break). Since then the tranny has worked well. No problems at all. Until recently...
I was on my way to church when suddenly the D (Drive) gear indicator on the dash began blinking. I recognized this before from when the tranny started slipping. However, it isn't slipping. The only difference that I've noticed is the shift between 4th and 5th gear is a little delayed meaning that it holds the revs up around 3-4k rpm before finally shifting. Also, the downshifting is a little 'clunky-er'. Now, this car has been absolutely fantastic and I have loved driving it places. But I am considering buying a 'new' car ever since this latest incident. The car now has around 230,000 miles on it and I feel like it is on its last leg. So here is my dilemma, buy a 'new' car (got my eye on a 2004 Infinity G35), or possibly fix whatever might be wrong with my accord. Any suggestions?

(Sorry for such a long post)

Welcome to the forum, WhiteAccord

Have you contacted the dealership that replaced the transmission?

Welcome to the forum. I agree with Prospector, the place to start is with the shop that did the transmission. Then go from there. Lots of used Hondas out there if you decide to buy a new car.
