New Guy from Wisconsin
Hello all, my name is Pat and I live in south-eastern Wisconsin. I recently purchased my first Honda ever, and it is a:
1997 Honda Accord EX Coupe
2.2L I4 SOHC 16v VTEC (F22B1) Engine
4 Speed Automatic Transmission
Purchased with 159,620 miles on it for $3,000.00
As of right now it is sitting in my parents driveway with a new oil pan on it, old one rusted through (PITA to replace)
It has no modifications on it, stock everything, but not for long
I am in the process of having a complete engine rebuild performed, for higher compression, and boost applications.
I have owned quite a few vehicles before:
2001 Volkswagen New Beetle 2.0, installed turbo, 75 shot nitrous kit, 3" exhaust system, 260 horsepower
1997 Plymouth Breeze, Neon SRT4 motor swapped in, only lasted a little while though
1988 Mazda RX7 FC3S Convertible, 1.3L Rotary engine with 5 speed standard, totaled at the drag strip
2007 Ford E250 Cargo Van, 5.4L V8 Triton engine with modified Eaton supercharger kit
2008 Ford Ranger XLT, 4.0L V6 SOHC, rebuilt motor for all motor drag racing, 310 horsepower, ford racing parts, totaled in December 2013 in a plow truck versus Ranger accident
I go cruising during the summer, and will quote Fast and the Furious quotes all the time...RIP Paul Walker
Any questions? Ask me and I shall tell!

Welcome to HAF.
Sorry to hear about your location.....it is what all of zero today? It is like ~50 here today and I don't even want to go outside because it is too cold for me.
Sounds like you have plans for the car. A suggestion or two. If you are going to "boost", first thing you want to do is inspect everything else....brakes, suspension, ect. You need to be sure that you have a solid base to start with....a car that will "get up and go" has to be able to stop and steer correct or things go bad very quickly.
Next, you will have to ditch the auto trans and go with a manual trans. There is no aftermarket support for the Honda auto trans...unlike ford, gm chry autos. I have an old gm powerglide that can handle more than "stock hp" only because there is "support/upgrades" around.
