Default New to HAF

Hello all. I am new to the Honda Accord Forums. I purchased my first ever Honda on 7/21/11. I bought a 94' Honda Accord LX Coupe.
Only paid $2,000. Will upload a picture or two tomorrow. Now, I don't know much about cars in general, but I would like to know everything there is about this 94' Accord.
I want to make this car last a long while. I don't want to attempt to make it look "ricey" however, I would like to add parts to it that would increase its MPG and overall performance.
FuelEcon says the 2.2L Auto Trans gets about 23mpg city. But I would like to increase it. I understand this is not some race car and I don't plan on attempting to turn it into one.
I would just like something that looks nice, and gets great mpg.
I'm new to the Honda Cars and still finding out stuff about it. It has 185k Miles and here is a small list of features. These were on the ad and I do not know much.

Let me know what you guys think.

Auto trans, PW, PL, AC, tinted windows
Lowered w/ fully adjustable coil over suspension
Aluminum wheels
Touchscreen cd/dvd with Alpine speakers

Nice car.

If this car has not had 2nd timing belt change, it was due at 180K miles. This should be first project. Change water pump and tensioners also since they were probably not changed w/ first TB (assuming it's been done once!).

You can do a lot better than 23 mpg. I routinely got 26-29 mpg w/ a mixed bag of driving in my 94 EX. I no longer drive regularly and it's my "spare" car.

good luck
