There are some regular maint items you might want to consider.....not only miles but time is reason for some items.

Replace the coolant, oil change. Consider a brake fluid flush. If the tires are original, no matter how much tread left, replace them. Inspect the belts. Does it have a timing belt? Replace that too. Is the battery original? Replace if it is.

It should give a lot of reliable (cheap) years of service.

AN 03 LX, I'm guessing it is a 4 cyl which means no timing belt. It would have a timing chain which means check the oil level on a regular time frame (every two weeks).

Hi all, I can't seem to post my question? When I go to FAQ there is no direction to 'how to post' just how to format my post.

Once you go into any topic area (try General Tech) where you see the list of threads, there's a button above the top-left "New Thread".
