New member saying Hi!
Hey guys!
I just wanted to drop in and say Hi from Eastern TN, USA. My wife and I bought a 2005 LX Accord new, and I do all my own maintenance and repairs. It has about 114,000 miles on it as of now, driven daily, and we plan to keep it going many, many more years. Therefore, I want to learn, and share all I can about these cars, and this looks like a great place to do that. My daily driver is a 93 Civic sedan that will probably outlive me.
Now, a little about me personally... I started out working on cars for my dad at his Western Auto Supply Store, and Texaco Service Station in the late 60's, early 70's. Then I worked as a continuously trained and certified tech for VW, Volvo, Subaru, and Mitsubishi, over a few decades, and now independently for the last 16+ years on just about anything and everything that has wheels, a total of 44 years now. I previously held ASE Master Certification including L1 Performance, and use to help build USDBA engines in the Blown Alcohol Class. My list of schools, credentials, and career moves kinda goes on and on, but I don't want to bore anyone. I think of myself as just another hard worker with huge determination to get the job done correctly.
But, I continue to learn new things every day, so, any way I can help out around here, you guys just let me know!
Current hobbies include hanging with friends and family, riding and playing with my motorcycles, working on and improving my old 94 Nissan pickup truck, building and messing with desktop PC's, and shooting digital photography for fun.
So, just "HI", that's all.
