new non-owner (yet) from Quad cities IA/IL
Hey,
New here, Don't own an accord (Yet)
I figured in my search I'd mouch off everyone here for ideas etc.
.
I think I did the signature thing proper?
I'm looking for and Accord.
08-10+ if similar asking price
Manual Transmission.\ a Must
Would like to see sport
For my goals
Gas mileage, power, acceleration, comfort....
I'd ask
~What 'Model or options should I look for beyond the basics?
Thanks Forum

Welcome and good luck on the purchase.
Of couse in your list 1 doesn't really go with 2 and 3
IMHO, don't think you can really go wrong with any "trim" level that has the manual trans. I think the 6 cyl manual trans cars are a bit hard to find but are there.

For now your "request" about trim levels and that are fine here.
I'm a manual trans "guy" myself.....still kicking my own butt for not ordering a 14 TL SH AWD with a manual trans - sight/test drive un-seen. As now there is no more TL and you can't get a TLX with a manual.
Anyway, my point was don't worry with "trim levels"....basic needs first....manual trans - I can have fun in my 89 LXi just because it is a manual . So you find one and it doesn't have "nav"....trust me you can add nav/audio upgrade easier than waiting around for one that came OE with it.

I wonder about a TL.
there Was a manual tl close enough But $15k is to high for what I want to spend.
and the questions.
How well I would fit in it vs an accord of same 08-10' range or older..?
Passat is what I drive now TDI 04 LOVE it just not a manual.

I would think you'd have a bit more room in the Accord vs the VW.....but I have to say I've never sat in a Passat before.
Not sure if there is a "Carmax" in your area. They usually have several brands of newer cars on the lot, a good place to go and visit. Check out a few different models/makes, sit in them, test drive if you "think" you like it. If don't have a stick, that is fine, you will still get a good idea of how the car feels....then you can walk away and find one that has what you want - manual.
