Default New old Accord owner

Just bought my first Honda car, but I have owned several Honda motorcycles. I found a 1997 Accord EX wagon. It had been sitting for several years as the original owner had quit driving. It does run, but needs work. New battery, tires, oil, filters and timing belt, water pump. It has 116000 miles. It looks rough now but I believe it will clean up well. Whenever I take on a new project I look for a good forum. I look forward to the exchange of information.

Congratulations on your purchase and your find, you've made a great decision! I'm sure you will find new friends, tons of information and great ideas for your Honda on here! Looking forward to seeing the pics with the first mods.

Ah, nice little find there. A 5th gen wagon is pretty rare these days....especially with only 116K.

Get the maintenance items ,wear stuff and fluids (don't forget the trans fluid) taken care of and you will have a nice little ride to enjoy for a long time.......get that suff taken care of and you can easily get another 100K~150K with only minor issues....those 5th gen's are just little tanks.
