new from TEXAS
Hey everyone, just bought a 2013 accord with cvt. After watching several vids on YouTube, I noticed none had the L gear selection like mine....are they different transmissions, and if so how much more responsive is it than sport mode?

Seems it is more responsive than sport mode, at least at low rpm. Haven't had a chance to "get on it" though, but soon as I do I'll let y'all know. |

I also have a 9th generation Accord with CVT. I'm not sure what you mean by the L Gear, my car does not have an L selection. The Sport (S) option on the transmission holds each gear up until 7K rpm unless you shift sooner by using the paddles I personally never use the Sport option on the transmission with the exception of when I may be driving on back-country, winding mountain roads... and yes, it is very responsive. As you may know, the paddle shifts can be used at anytime regardless of whether the car is in D or S |
