Default Newbie from Wisconsin

I just wanted to say hi. I just bought a 1989 Honda Accord. I basically got it dirt cheap because the person who had it before me punched out the front passenger window(because the butthead left his key in the car and locked it)and the windsheild has a big "spider" crack on it because the same guy punched it when he got mad at his girlfreind.
Anyways I heard the reliability of these cars are incredible and I'm willing to put some money into it if it will last me a long time. I have 153,000 miles on it. Is it too much to ask to get at least 250 to 300,000 miles on it? Is there anything I need to know about these cars to keep it in tip top shape? I am a Ford lover and always will be but I'm pretty handy with cars so anything you can tell me to look for or take care of I can do on my own. Thanks everyone

welcome enjoy your stay. Iv always wanted a older gen accord like yours to do a PGFI swap into it. Then use the carbed engine for a hopped up go cart/trail buggy.

I just found out that my Accord is leaking power steering fluid from somewhere on the passenger side of the engine bay. Hopefully it's just a hose and not the rack. Also my upper ball joint is very loose so I have to have that fixed. The engine runs awesome so I am beginning to wonder if all this is worth it. Thanks for the invite guys and yes I am definetly a huge CHEESEHEAD!!
