Default Possible new Accord Owner

Hi guys!! New to the forum, to Hondas, to Accord and to driving!! I'm currently 16 going 17 in a few days (23rd) and I was looking to buy a Honda Accord Coupe because I think they are awesome performance machines and are pretty reliable. I went to the local Honda Dealership looking for a Used Honda Accord and there I saw it An excellent condition Honda Accord 03 Coupe EX V6 6spd with the Bodykit and foglights! It is a jewell. They are asking me 12k for the car and it has around 35kmiles in it. Is it a good deal? Are they reliable? Fun? Economic? Remember it's going to be my first car. I also don't want to abuse it. I don't intend on going racing in it everywhere although from time to time it wouldn't be bad to see how the car performs when it is pushed a bit. I'd like to do some basic tunning to the engine like CAI, Exhaus Systems and some external mods like BKits, Rims, etc. Any tips, helps guidance will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for your time!

2003 Honda Accord-4 Cyl. Coupe 2D EX (V6) if that's the car you're looking at then 12,000 is a good deal on it base book trade-in is 13,400. I'd still offer them less *L*

If you notice the (V6) at the end that indicates in the nada guide that it's a v6 option. So the price is good, as long as it's in good condition it should sell, I think they priced it low because cars like that with body kits appeal to a very specific age range and are harder to sell...

Offer them $10,500

Thanks! I will offer them 10,500 k and if they lower it just to 11k I'll take it. What could you tell me about the car? Mods? Detailing? Running Costs? Performance? Etc...

The V6 is a bit heavier on gas but not to bad... I've heard of people getting mid 20's for economy (25,26ish), it's got 240hp so it has plenty of snap, lots of mods available

Can I use CAIs from ebay that cost like 30 bucks and things? And the springs that are in ebay too.... are they good? Can the V6 smoke Cvics/Lancers/Eclipses/Mazda3s?

that's a great deal. If I were you, I'd settle for an 06-07 accord. those are the best looking 7th gens if you ask me. the 03-05 look outdated.
if not the 7th gen, definitely 08 but that's just me

sounds like too good of a deal. anytime they are selling below trade in value...be very careful.

Thanks for the heads-up. I had a mechanic check the car and he told me everything was ok. Can anyone answer me the question about the ebay's CAI and Springs? I want to put an Intake to the car and Lower it but I'm on a low budget. Any advice ? Thanks!
