I have an 88 Accord and I want to put a turbo on it to give it a little bit more power. What do i need to get to put it on?What kind of boost is best so the motor doesnt blow up?What parts are required to put a turbo on my car? About how much does this cost?

 

cost would be quite high, esp seeing most parts would have to be custom fabbed, you would need turbo, manifold, charge piping, possibly intecoolerl, engine management etc. motors that old probably couldnt take much boost. and is it carburated? that brings a whole new problem into the mix

honestly not worth it

 

yes it is carb'd but it only has 84000 miles on it and has never been over 35mph until i got it lol but i know a gut the can fab som stuff for it. what would be the cheapest way to turbo it? or would it be easier to supercharg it?

 

maybe easier to supercharge it, because you wouldnt have to make a custom manifold, but still expensive

 

is the supercharger bout the same price? where could i find one at?

 

your not going to be able to find one made for your car, or anything made for your car for that matter, you would have to buy one and make it work.

 

sweet well is there anything i can do or buythat will give my carmore horsepower?

 

this may sound like a stupid idea but are thoes electric superchargers anygood?

 

you could get nitrous and just shoot it into the carburator that would be easy and alot cheaper than turbo or a supercharger.

and no the electric ones are garbage

 

ok and is there anything in the motor that i can upgrade or adjust to give it better pick up?
