How is everybody doing?
I have a question, I have a 1997 honda accord LX, it is an automatic, I just had a turbo installed in it and the only thing left to do is install the ECU and the oil lines. The ECU that i'm getting is a GREDDY E-Manage which runs about 450 bucks. I really don't know much about turbos but Im really nervous that my engine will blow because everything is stock. I guess that it is a big chance to take.My friend really knows alot about it and told me totell the mechanic tolow tune the car and have the turbo set to a really low boost and it might be OK, I really dont know. The guy is just waiting on my call so he can install the ECU to the car. I told him not to dyno the car and he said he will test it out on the street instead of dynoing it. I need some help, maybe I can get some suggestions if it is OK or not.

Hey! I have the exact same car as you, so I would be very interested to see some pictures n' such! As for your boost, go no higher then 8PSI. Your stock engine can take 6-8psi but that is the max. If it were my car I would put it at 5psi just to be safe. But how you drive also has an effect, if your flooring it all the time your engine life will be cut down dramatically. Also you MUST put a transmission cooler in. They are only around $40 for a performance one, you need this because you have an automatic car, which are wekaer than manual transmissions. If you dont, you tranny will conk out way before your car and thats super expensive to replace. Good luck!

Like has already been said just get a tranny cooler for sure..... Nice looking car though! I can see you curbed the bumper once or twice but that's normal.... Mind if I ask what the parts/labor cost?
Good pictures of your car, thanks for posting them, I see your local Advance store in the back ground of most of your pictures, do you work for them ?

Your Accord looks AWESOME! I really like it! Very nice, cant wait to see pics of the turbo! Oh, and can you give me all the info posible on your projectors. How easy/difficult was the installation and how is the light output? Also, have the halo rings burned out? Thanks in advance

I paid 180 for my projectors, the installation was simple but the lighting isn't that good. I have to drive with my brights on because the regular lights point right at the ground. The halo's haven't burned out yet but I had to get them rewired 2 times but other than that they look and run good. Thanks for the compliment on the car.

Not a bad looking car, I like the rims, but I could do without the wing. I do like the Type R emblem in the grill, thats nice. I bet its going to be fun with the turbo.
