depends on what the turbo is capable of, but you can assume about 10hp per psi, of course there will be variations on how much hp you will actually get, but its based on how well tuned your car is and fuel maps and what not, but 7psi should give you over 50whp

If memory serves the standard outside pressure is 17.1 (roughly) so 17.1/HP = 17.1 + X/HP where x = boost you are running. So lets say for example a 94 accord ex, 145 hp with 8 psi boost, so 17.1/145 = 25.1/HP, (25.1 * 145)/17.1 = 212.xx so you're going from roughly 145 HP to 212 HP at 8 psi boost.... just a quick down and dirty way to esitmate gains, not an exact science but it gives you an idea

Holy cow Sir, busting out the math on us. Im not worthy, Im not...
Kevin, what are your options for a turbo? How many kits are available for your car, and have you considered piecing together your own kit? It would save you some money...

i honestly dont even know. i was surfing craigslist and i see a guy say for my car its going to be kinda pricey considering not that many people turbo a 01 honda accord sedan automatic. i mean i am willing to spend at least 2-3 g's to do it. and i will do it myself with help with a friend that is a mechanic. what are your suggestion. and sir i thank you for breaking it down lol. very good stuff.

I have to admit that the formula was curtosey of lightshow.... he taught me that one a while back.... for 2-3g's you should be able to do it yourself and when someone says something is pricey it doesn't mean any thing... I consider a $14,000.00 car pricey and some people consider that average so it's all relative just make sure you ahve a tranny cooler on there and start putting together a price list/breakdown of what it will cost you
