Anyone familiar with Turbonetics? Are they good or are they cheap?

 

good.... but very expensive..... some other stuff are cheaper but good as well

 

Don't waste your money on a kit, its cheaper piecing it together yourself.

 

Yeah, I personally would just go to an engine shop. And, there's one here in town that I know of that has done work for a few people I know. I actually have been to that engine shop as well.

If I am at 150 horses and 152 ft pounds of torque, then I already got a pretty decent start. Someone did pose a question in the engine section about the possibility of having a twin turbo on there?

 

if you mean a small turbo feeding a larger turbo its doable, but you want a heavily modified engine if you plan on doing that. But eithe way you would be looking at moving things around in the engine bay/removing things

 

Thus, spending a ridiculous amount of money.

 

But that's the whole point of car modifications...a blackhole of money and blood.

 

true, (at least for me!). but not for a daily driver... anyways, turbonetics will be just spending a ridiculous amount of $ for the same thing chinesse ppl do all day for a cheaper price. the only difference is the logo!!!! (experience talking- i bought some silicon joints and some had no label and where the"cheap ones" and then i had to buy 2 more and the only ones i found where sparco. when they sent them, well, it was the same thing as the "cheap ones" but with stickers!!!!! that really made me mad!

 

well instead of turbonetics what is a good brand. i want quality and affordability

look on ebay for universal kits... they are as good as the brand ones....
