Thank you for posting helpful info for me. i know that i must start small and can't get 300 horses off just a turbo, i'm above that level of knowledge. I also know that the tranny, and various other parts of the engine and drive train will need to be addressed in order to cope with the added power. I was simply wanting to know what a good set up is to help me on my way to my goal. i'm not sayin just the turbo will put me up there, and it's not easy to do. when i asked how easy of an instal was involved i meant as far as custom fab work went

if your a good mechanic then i would do the exact setup that mbo just did and i would have a exhaust shop fab the intake and exhaust plumbing. thats cause i am a crappy welder (im always dipping the tip of the tig into the puddle )

I'm pretty sure i could handle doing everything untill it comes to the welding, never done it on anything that has some sort of function to it. What kind of shops will do that for me. out here in Overland park Kansas there arnt any car shops outside of basic repair places that i have found.

i think you would need modification on the piping, im not sure how different the front end and turbo manifold are.... and for the innercooler it depends on what size of pipe you plan on running.

- turbo
a great turbo to get is a second generation mitsubishi eclipse turbo/ T3-T4 garret/airresearch

-wastegate
turbonetics deltagate with a 7psi spring

-manifold
can be purchased or custom made at the shop. a simple log style manifold can work very well and is the cheapest. a tubular manifold is more efficient and costs a little more

-intercooler
can also be taken off a mits eclipse but a slightly larger front mount intercooler would work best.

-blow off valve
hks or other quality brand

-boost dependant FMU (fuel pressure regulator)
vortech FMU

-manifold pressure bleeder
synapse missing link

-high volume fuel pump
walbro 255lph

just get these parts and you will be set. the plumbing for the intake and exhaust can be done at a shop real cheap. turbo and manifold can be procured from a 2g or second generation eclipse. everything else you will want to buy separate.
