Summit Point Track Day

Summit Point Track Day
SCCA is holding their first PDX of the year. March 9-10.
It's a high speed track day where you can drive your car on a road course. Normally I instruct, but I am going to be shaking out my new (to me) 5th gen LX race car.
If you are in the area and are interested in tracking your car in a safe environment you should stop by and check it out.
Directions to the track can be found here Summit Point Motorsports Park
For more information about SCCA's PDX program visit Performance Driving eXperience and Time Trials

It was a great day!
My day:
I have to say that this car was impressive. I was able to beat my personal best in my old car by half a second after not being in any race car for a year, and in this car for the first time. I have to give props to the previous owner who set this thing up right. I can't wait for April 1st where I am attending a private test day. Me and 5 other cars with the track to ourselves.
The event:
Now I have to say I am a bit biased. I originally mentioned that I instruct with this group, but as a "student", it was pretty well run. Lots of track time, safety was paramount with fun taking second. I encourage everyone interested in seeing what their car, and they can do on a genuine closed course look at playing with this group. If you are interested at all, you can normally show up and get a ride at speed with an instructor for no charge (crack is usually free the first time ) Drivers get over an hour and a half of track time a day. More than enough trust me.
