Default 8th Gen Discussion

Leave your thoughts about the 8th gen Accord. Available in 2008 as a 2009 model.

Look at the size of the disc brakes! Holy mother....

Boo....Civic-like headlights. If they're gonna stick with these ugly things....make them projector headlights with halos.

Direct Euro-rip...how disappointing. Kinda of a cross between a Celica, 350z, and any European automobile.

Aggressive styling = CHECK.

Nice flowing style/lines. Notice the exhaust molded within the bumper. Great touch for concept...not production. The trunk lid worries me...but remnants of the "Bungle" butt remain?

Looks a tad too long...shorten up the wheelbase...and its absolutely bloody perfect.

Supposedly Honda is going to unveil an i-VTEC V6 motor...standard. Or have their ultra secret weapon available as an option. It's some dual force motor that produces 300+ horses....pretty beastly. Prices range from 16xxx to 30xxx.

How close has Honda stayed to the concept in the past?

Very aggressive looking. It reminds me a bit of the 350Z.

This was the 2003 honda accord coupe concept unveiled in 2002.

This was how it turned out.

I would agree then.

The front end looks kind of 'scion' ish.

i kinda dig the front end, it stops a little to abruptly thou. I dont like the back end at all, cept the integration of the exhaust into the bumper is a cool idea. The headlights look like there from a TSX. Are there any interior pics released?

The front end looks like it comes to a point. They should make the headlights bigger than in the RSX. Laser lights = bad taste = Civic.

Yeah, the backend is disappointing. But then again the beginning of the 7th gen (03-05) backend was horrendous. Perhaps Honda will apply the same strategtic buttlift.

Eek....I hope this is NOT the final product of the Accord coupe. It's like when the 50s clash with today....you get a real ULGY (notice the spelling) design.

It clashes with the rest of the vehicle so much....and it looks like its smiling.

I'm not too wild about it. Looks kind of like a TSX crossed with a scion tc with rear end of one of those newer mitsubishis. I can't think of what model Mitsubishi right now, but I know I've seen a very similar rear end on one.
