are bmw drivers generally aggressive in th US. over here most beemer drivers think they are 'great' and really dont like being overtaken

 

well i havent gone past 120 in my 01lx 3.0vtec, but i know a couple of guys with 96,97, 2.7 v6's that went 135 when their right from wheel inside fender came flying out and their wires rubbed bare and they had to go back to honda to get new wire harnesses. they said their horns honkes, windows went up and down, radio cutt off and on. they though it was possed. so i havent tried to go past 120, cuz idont want to have to pay out moer for factory stuff when i can make it quicker off the line, know what i mean?

 

not sure what you mean?. the accord is shockingly slow off the line. once its rolling its ok, but from a standing start its pants. well, thats what i find anyway.




its much more fun to corner quickly tho, and the accord likes corners

 

I went 130 in a 2.3L 4 cylinder.. well at least thats what the speedomenter said

heh.. that ate up 1/4 of my gas. but it was damn worth it

 

Never tryed to max out my Accord but have taken her up to 105 a few times going thru PA...

It felt stable and still had pedal to go at that speed...

I also tested my 92 LX, it only does 110, but thats pretty quick, but not quick enough........ Time to take mommys credit card and go to summit racing. LMAO Once, i read somewhere that some dumb person said that they did 180 in there stock 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Then i publicly humiliatd the guy, and told him just because the speedometer goes to 180, does NOT mean the car can, it only goes so far becuase it is a hot car for people to tune. But does anyone know if that cars speedometer is even accurate at those speeds?

 

speedos get more inaccurate the higher the speed is. the speedo may say you are going 130.. when really it's 115.

 

I am not sure if that are really that innacurate, especially if you have the stock tire size still on it.

 

My 90 accord EX did 125 on i-4 in orlando, almost got p[ulled over by a state trooper but a guy in a eagle talon tsi(turbo) was doing like 160 and he got caught.....those drilled and sloted rotors really came in handy for me
