Learned to ski in 4 days, 3 years ago ....... following 4 months of hard training. It also helps that this was in Colorado. I planned to learn to ride a board last year, but it only snowed once, so I'm gonna do that this year.
I have been snowboarding for a about 3 years now and i would say i am about in the middle bettween beg and inter level. This season kinda sucks for me, cause noone wants to go. I was supposed to go today and people bailed on me last night, this is the second time this happand. Lets just say i'm not asking them if they want to go anymore!
that bites those people bailed on you, for once i went by myself and just took my mp3 player and skiboarded all day.it was great! i got a lot of looks and some questions of my skiboard like" are those fun? what are those snowblades?" i just told them what it is and that i really enjoy them. but i guess the only worry i had was not to get hurt so i could drive back home
.just go by yourself and have fun, you'd probably enjoy it better.
I live in between two ski resorts (big mountain and Blacktail) up here in Montana but the stupid cost of lift tickets and the recent additions to family have made it near impossible to go out for a few years now. When I was at the "peak" of my abilities I ran a couple of Black Diamond runs and one or two Double Black Diamond runs but I don't think I was an expert. I miss it and loved to do it but you can't hardly go without blowing $100.00 between the gas, lift ticket, food, snacks etc.. so it just isn't reasonable anymore. Tried snowboarding a few times but (I mean no offense to anyone by this) it just seemed to easy and the risk of splitting your groin on a tree while skiing through them wasn't there *L* I hate moguls but tree's were such a rush...
