RWD FTW!!!! 240sx or RX-7.... Very fun cars to work on if you can find one for a decent price without too many problems....

I've got 137k miles on my 240.... And this will make everyone mad, I only paid $900 for it!!!!!! It was in the no-runner line at the car auction because it didn't have a key. They pushed it through the sell and I bid it off for $900. Everyone thought that something must have been major wrong with the motor including me. But all I had to do was get a key made and put a fuel pump and sending unit on it and it runs like new!!! Wow lucky me[sm=smiley2.gif][sm=smiley32.gif]

I did seafoam too and I didn't have much of a smoke show at all and I think there was a very slight difference (if any) and it was most likely psychological.

Yeah i see what you're saying; definitely related to the amount of compression the engine is capable of.

And yes, the Civic SI does require 93 octane..
On a side note, i4 Accords are rated at 86% (https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/...303O00224A.pdf) and v6 is rated at 91% anti-knocking iso octane.
Interestingly enough all gas stations in the US have 87% minimum since ~1995.
wtf, ive only seen 91 octane at the gas stations around so cal.

I always see 87 and sometimes 89 as the lowest.

I too Seafoamed my car a couple months back and didnt really notice anything and didnt have much smoke either. It sorta seemed to "stutter" at red lights and such for awhile after.
