The terrorist behind 9/11 want to plead guilty, they would get the death penalty. They should have been executed in 2002 if you ask me. And storing terrorist in the USA just doesnt seem like a good idea to me, nothing good can really come from it. That and they were supposed to be tried in a military court, it cant be booked 8 years in advance.

Couldn't watch it from here, all the TV stations were rerunning planet of the apes movies.
Remember the one where they took over the whitehouse.

[sm=icon_rofl.gif]I really crack me up! !

All jokes aside, I wishObama the best, but I think the 'worship' of him may wind upbeing a mistake.
For instance the group of black children from NY singing the 'all hail Obama song'.
Ijust don't think he will walk on water or part the potomac river.

And just exactly why is Obama & Co. engaging in all of this hype - trains, planes, automobiles (the new rolling Prezmobile fortress), walks down Penn. Ave, $100 millon inaugural extravaganzas, etc.?

All of it reminds me of the lyrics of a song from 60's movie called Alfie, starring Michael Caine.

What's it all about, ........Alfie?
Is it just
for the mo
ment we live?

What's it all about,
when you sort it out,
Alfie?

Did you catch Daily Show last night? The juxtaposition of the excerpts of the Bush and Obama speeches was priceless. They were astonishingly similar - so similar that they were either written by the same people, or different people who were educated (brainwashed) in the same institutions of "higher learning".

The most important question is not "to be or not to be", but how many times can the same BS impress a crowd of people who now have access to the internet?

For example, what is the "freedom" that people so cherish and applaud so fiercely? The freedom of a people from government oppression? The freedom to toil at the same job for 40 years? The freedom for a corporation to move a factory in Ontario or Michigan that employs 1000 people to China or Mexico? The freedom governments have to lie nations into war?

I understand that the lobbyists have bought their expensive admission tickets and are lining up this very moment outside the Oval Office and in front of all of the plush offices of "The People's" representatives that abut the hallowed halls of Congress.

We'll soon see who's going to win and who's going to lose under the "leadership" of this latest in a long line of US adminstrations.

Will Obama make a clean break with the past, or will the increasing frequency of events that expose the incompetence and corruption of our political system continue and eventually overtake the rate of decay of the public's collective memory?
