Default Door "dings" and Bumper scrapes

We've had our Accord for maybe a month. My wife drives it 95% of the time. She's a pre-school teacher, and uses the school parking lot. Even though she tries to park "away from the crowd" she got her first ding the other day on the driver-side passenger door. I also noticed a little scrape on the rear bumper, which had to be caused by someone parking a little too close behind her.I tried to polishthem out, but they're still there. There's gonna be plenty more seeing how its a school lot.

I'm not too annoyed, some things areinevitable -however, people should be more careful opening/closing doors and parking. And if they have school-age children theyneed toteach them to respect other cars and to open/close doors carefully.

I know that i have some scratches on my bumpers and minor chips in the hood. But I know that both my doors and sides are completely free of knicks or dings....I park in the back of every lot....if I have to park by someone i avoid vans and old ppl cars like grand marquis and big a$s boats or handicapped liscence plates.....Nothing makes me more furious than some moronic hack that has no regard for the car next to theirs.....if i walk out to my car and see someone parked too close... ill examine it closely, if i find anything new...Im BREAKING OFF A MIRROR!! maybe busting the window too..depends on how pissed I am....if the mirror didnt satisfy my anger....maybe kick a dent into the door, who knows......just a little taste of my feelings towards inconsiderate ******....Im being completely serious when i say IM GONNA BREAK OFF A MIRROR....no jokes....when you see me in the back of the lot, dont park by me!

bss ..... if there are plenty of open spots, I usually park on an angle across 2 spots also ..... if I'm with friends, we line up our cars this way all parked over the lines so there's a half spot on either side of our cars ...... also in the back of the lot.

I park at a park-&-ride every day ...... I try to park in a spot where there are already cars on both sides ...... at least my ride's only at risk at the end of the day when people are awake and in a little less of a rush.

I reread my post and it makes me sound a little crazy. It just makes me mad when ppl dont care..I mean, you see my car sittin there gleaming, looking nice. Why wouldnt you try to be careful around it....i give others the same respect, give me some too.

i park in the back of my lot at work too, its at the end of the row too so i only have one car on my right side. and i park so close to the curb they can open their driver door all the way without comming close to me. I came out to my car the other day thou and some jerk decided that he didnt want to park in a normal spot so he plopt his big ole' truck on the grass next to my car. Kinda makes me want to put a nail, or a glass bottle under his tires.
BSS i dont think it sounded crazy, you spent alot of time getting your car the way you like it and dont want some D-Bag messing it up, retaliation is a normal part of life

If I have to park in a crowded lot, I too look for cars that appear well-cared for and park next to them, or try and find an "end" spot.

I just find it hard to believe that some people are so careless and inconsiderate in opening and closing doors. Its simple, they don't need to work hard at it! Makes me wonder what their houses or yards look like.
