Gas price gouging in Mississippi
The gas stations here have already started gouging because of Hurricane Ike.
This is ridiculous. One local gas station was charging $3.57 at 10:30 this morning. At noon today, that same gas station was charging $4.89/gallon for regular unleaded! There arereports of $5.00/gallon gas in other parts of Mississippi. Last night I paid $3.55 for gas. I'm sure glad I filled up then. There's another reason I'm glad I drive a 4cyl Accord!
How can theseprice gougerssleep at night?

RE: Gas price gouging in Mississippi
Yeah, I have heard on other forums that gas jumped $1.50 due to Ike. I'm surprised that with the previous hurricanes of Gustav and Hanna that gas was still dropping, but now with Ike 2 weeks later it rises that much.
Up here south of Chicago, it went from $3.55 to $3.89 in a day.

RE: Gas price gouging in Mississippi
in florida it's bad to, one station had 3.79 and the same night it was 5.15 , people sat in line for 2 hours to get gas fearing there would be none for a week, i laughed at them and called them morons for waiting for gas like that, they said oh you'll be sorry when you can't get gas for a week, guess what, we have had no shortage of gas, glad i didn't waste 2 hours waiting to get gas
