A good effort no doubt
At another website, we had a discussion about how to bring the autotechnicians 'plight' to the public eye.[low flate rate pay; warranty pay times]
I am making an appearance on a local cable show to discuss the reason why Auto Technician is the "most left" profession for 8 years in a row.
But my good friend wrote a poem......Please vote, he could win an iPod.

Thanks to all

It's a local cable show, Fayetteville Open Channel. The show produceris trying to line up some dealer techs; but they don't want to be seen in public talking about how the manufacturers are robbing them with warranty flaterate pay.
Something about job security...dealership won't like it...blah blah blah.
Yet every one of them will whine and cry in private. LOL
I just think the public should know why there are fewer and fewer top techs, and more and more monkeys at the dealerships.

how about the plight of the average customer who brings their car in for service and has to pay an rear ripping $100/hr for labor? and a good part of the time has to pay for multiple repairs since the mechanic is incompitant even though they are ASE Certified?
Maybe shop owners should be a little less greedy? There is this one place that I used to go to in St Louis called JH Car care and their labor rate was $60/hr while the average for the Honda dealers was $95/hr back in 2004....
Here where I live now the average is $115/hr
