Default Got my BUTT pulled over,

I got my butt pulled over today for having no license and modified exhaust....

The cop told me that i better show up to court cus the current judge is a judge and will make my butt sit all weekend in jail.

The cop was acting hard, i felt like slapping the white punk, but I rather didnt, it would make things worse.

I know I will get charged for the unlicensed driver thing, unless I get a driver license before the court date.

I was wondering about the possible consequences if I dont change my exhaust...possible jail time? or big fine????

Someone help me out....[:@]

A HUGE FINE and then they will give you an extension to remove it... its a sick cycle unless you know of a cop to sign you off. Otherwise you would have to remove it and more fines to ultimately jail time if not. At least thats how it is in California.

what state do you live in? if its not cali you could only get a noise ordinance violation for the exaust, and no license is your own fault maybe you should think about having it when you drive ^_-. But if your in cali, any modification is illegal. Thats why there are companies out there that make parts that are "stock lookalikes"

Default RE: Got my *** pulled over,

I have recently found out from my uncle, who is a detective for the lapd,
he has informed me that I can fight only one violation, the modified exhaust violation which is a 27151 CVC.
He has told me that i would have to plead guilty for the unlicensed driver violation or at least present my valid driver license to reduce the fine or MAYBE even dismiss the violation.
He has told me that 27151 CVC applies to Modification of Exhaust Systems, Section A of 27151 CVC basically says that no person shall modify their car stock exhaust and blah blah blah, but Section B says that if my car is less than 6,000 pounds and has a sound level of 95 decibels or less and when tested in accordance with Society of Automotive Engineers Standard J1169 May 1998, complies with this section.
So I gotta get my flowmaster exhaust tested by a california state ref, but before that Im gonna take off my hi flow cat to reduce that noise and install my stock cat.
Once it is tested and the california state ref gives me a certified written certificate that my exhaust is 95 db or less, then the judge will have no choice but to dismiss it.

Just because the local courts or local laws try to intimidate you and tell you to show up to court to see the judge, it doesnt mean we can let judge's family eat off our hard earned minimum wage money.
FIGHT THE SYSTEM.

What Flowmaster system do you have? I have the American Thunder series and I got pulled over for being too loud and if anyone has this exhaust they know it is actually really quiet. But, that exhaust is 50-state legal and I didn't get charged or anything when I went to court. But it looks like you've got everything else figured out. Do you not have a license or like you didn't have it on you?

I don't know california laws but... Perhaps you could get your exhaust tested and present the judge with that as a show that you are trying to keep things legal and then request a differment on the no license (If you have a license)... A differment is just what is sounds like, if you have a clean record or have had for a few years then you sometimes the judge will keep the fine from going on your record if you don't have any other violations for a set term (usually 6-12 months) at which time it will be removed. You do however have to plead guilty to the viloation and pay the fine but at least it won't hit your record...
