Default The Grind

America, I had to change my front brakes last week because I had a TERRIBLE grinding noise coming from the passenger side. I thought I would hear some sort of squeak coming from a "wear indicator" or something. But nada! Some when I pulled off the pads from that side they were down to the actual pad and grinding metal on metal against the rotor. Needless to say, I need to replace the rotor now. But I'll do that next weekend. For now I have good brand new brake pads. I got the ceramics from Advance Auto. They're flippin' sweet!

Default Replacing the Rotors

Well MaiMai, have you ever tried changing the rotors on a '97 accord? And yes you're technically right BrokerAng, but it will take lots of miles to ruin the new pads and I plan to change the rotors this weekend. And new brakes are better than no brakes at all.

brakes are a pain cause you have to get a slide hammer to get the hub off and everything. But for next time just do it all at the same time. less work for yourself. and i would go back and exchange those brake pads for new ones or else you will mess up your new rotors even though its only been a week.
