Guns
Haha! I thought about that too! I don't know though. Bullets can go through a lot more than we sometimes give them credit for. Did you ever see the episode of "Mythbusters" where they shot at a car with all different types of ammo? They were testing the movie myth of hiding behind a car door in a gunfight. I remember they specifically tested 9mm bullets as well as certain rifle rounds. Theyfirst tried shooting through just one door(easy), then they closed both doors andshot the car from the side to see how far the bullets made it. Most of the bullets shot at the car went clean throughboth sides! Of course, a car door is no Grizzly skull, but you get my drift.

Dang, I have been missing out on the conversation. I have been stuck in an Army leadership course for the last two weeks, so I have some catching up to do, lol.
If Im going where the bears are, Im damn sure taking the biggest gun I can. 9mm? Ha, right. .44 Mag? Gimme something a little bigger, will ya? .454 Casull or .500 Mag are the only ways to go. I dont play with bears.
My friends dad and brother went boar hunting a while back. His brother shot a boar, broke its spine but didnt kill it, so his dad went to finish it off with his .44 Mag revolver. He had to shoot it seven times in the head. Thats right, he had to RELOAD his .44 Mag to kill the boar. I didnt realize that boars were so thick headed.
My cousin who is also a reserve cop carries the same weapon. He is a huge Glock fan. I just dont like the forward cant of the grip. It puts my wrist in an uncomfortable position to fire. Other than that, its a great firearm.

I have the Glock 22 (.40 Cal) and Love it.....I am a reserve cop.....the only problem is with the tactical light on it, and the dept. ammo, it sometimes jams. like 2 out of 400 rounds

Won't Glocks pretty much fire under any circumstances? I've heard stories of demonstrations where the gun was covered in sand, dirt, all kinds of crap and still fired. I even saw a magazine that showed pictures where they encased a Glock in concrete, let it dry, chipped the concrete away, and the thing STILL FIRED! I just haven't had the dough to pony up for one. I really want a Glock 20...you know...the 10mm. I know the 10mm is not all that popular, but from what I have read it is freakin awesome as long as you can handle the recoil. Did you guys know that the .40 originated from the 10mm? I read a history on it in a gun mag. Apparently the 10mm Glock 20 was made for the FBI, but after a few firefights in the field, they realized they couldn't handle the recoil in a rapid-fire situation with accuracy/precision. Therefore they shortened the round and voila! The .40 was born.

Glocks are incredibly durable. They will take a lot of abuse and still function perfectly. One of the gun mags just had an article not too long ago where they buried it in sand, threw it up in the air and let it smash into the ground, drove over it with a truck, left it in a bucket of water for a while, froze it, and it still shot. Thats ridiculous.
I like the 10mm. You are absolutely correct on the history, also. The 10mm is not really popular in part because there arent that many handguns chambered for it, and also the ammunition is a little spendy.

I noticed my glock is finicky about ammo. When I used walmart ammo it would jam every so often. Other than that, the thing is an awesome gun and a heck of a lot cheaper than an HK.
In that test didn't they bury it in mud as well?
Must be nice to live outside california with the shall issue on ccw's and 10mm glocks...sigh. Pretty soon semi auto m4's will be banned (if not already, forgot the date) = /

I'm sure that whoever taped this incident did not intend it to be in any way anti-hunting, but I gotta tell you , I was rooting for the lion all the way in this "movie".
