Its actually pretty cool, and a good way to get to know each other even better. Each URL is another chat room, so only people here on HAF will be in the chat.

We use it all the time on another forum of mine. Its really a great idea, especially for these forums. People can come on and ask questions and get answers quickly from more experienced members. Its also a great way to get to know each other better. Also you don't need to register to use it, you just type in the name you want to use the first time and click change, and it should stay forever. The best way to get a lot of people in the chat, is everyone saves the link to their bookmarks, and use that link every time they browse the forums.

I login and leave it open most of the time however, like you're saying I don't think enough people know about it or care to use it..... I like it but I can see one downside... any problem that gets solved via chat won't be recorded and so the solution won't be stored in the forum for future users to search..... easy enough to get around though.... just post problem/solution if any is devised....
