How do they know what the levels were thousands of years ago? They guess.
I don't believe the earth has been here for that long either. But I know I am one of the very few who believes this.

They drill out cylinders of ice from deep into the arctic, and can take samples via them... not sure how they find out from the samples... but thats how they do it.

I refuse to watch that movie. And I think that is a BS way of obtaining a sample.

I'm with Jon on this one ...... it's kinda like how eye witnesses to crimes cause wrongfull prosecution. Misinterpretation of data leads to falsehoods being accepted as fact. I'd like to see the margin of error on those icebore tests.

 

They are (I'm assuming) probably about as accurate as carbon dating, same theory

 

ok .... what's the error on that??? I'd expect ice to be less accurate.
