Help
Ok so today i drove a 94 accord ex coupe 5 speed with 260k miles. the motor and trans both were replaced at the same time and they have 170k. im ASSUMING that they were both replaced at the same time just because the owner had the chance to replace them cheap? but not sure. it was done by the owner before the one who owns it now. I just got rid of a POS, and i really dont want to get another. i know a little about cars, and it ran great, clutch was good, engine sounds good, no shakes, knocks, etc. no problems going into any gear including reverse. I know you cant be of much help since you havent seen it, but does it sound like its too many miles or does it sound fishy to anyone that the motor and trans were replaced so soon? I just want opinions from people who know their stuff before i make a bad decision. thanks!
If the car runs good and you are happy with it, then go ahead with it. just find out, when he changed the timing built.
Two things won't bother me when it comes to cars.
1- Millage
2- Number of previous owner
Honda's got great engines and 170k miles is nothing.
Just look under the car for rust and unusall weldding etc.
Good luck mate.
