Home Theater Cables
I just came across this and thought I'd share in case any of you are in the market for some nice audio/video cables. I ordered from this guy off ebay origonally and the stuff I got is great quality and construction, it has the look and feel and quality of a Monster cable but the prices are REALLY low. I like the stuff so much I plan on replacing all the wiring I have in my system with these. Anyway here's the website if anyone's in the market

Irecently bought two 35' HDMI cables from their eBay store. The are a very professional build, large diameter, and they both work perfectlyfrom ourHTPC and HDTV receivertoour 1080p projector.
They also charge very reasonable rates for very fastshipping - even to Canada.
Therefore, I also highly recommend Tartan Cable.

What a small world... you just recently bought from them on ebay too... I've got an S-video, composite and audio cable on the way, all 15 footers and they only charged $6.90 shipping...

actually seeing as you pointed it out.... i cant figure out the difference in cost for the longer ones.... 6 foot, 10 foot, and 15 foot ones are cheaper at firefold and the 6 food and 15 foot ones are the only ones i have bought from them lol
but at least i know to goto tartan for the long ones should i ever need them...... which.... i dont think i will ever have use for a 50 foot one....

Cables are probably the most marked up product in the world of electronics.
Ask any person that works at Best Buy. With their employee discount They receive cables for wholesale price + 5 or 10% so a $20 cable costs them about $3. Its ridiculous.
Great site though guys. I have seen HDMI cables @ Wal-Mart for $40+. Good thing my tv came with one!

Actualy, there's a few things to point out here..
1) If you're talking quality as in how they feel, then that's great... If you're talking about quality in terms of output, you're mis-informed... HDMI cables are digital, if there is ANY loss along the wire, you will have a complete distortion of the image.. Unlike with analog devices, which you will generally receive static, or discoloration. Quality of the wire for digital products are all in your head, which is why (and there's plenty of proof both visually and scientifically) a $2 cable performs just as well as a $30 cable for HDMI/DVI/etc.
2) Accessory cables are dirt cheap to build... When I've worked at both Best Buy and Circuit City, the most high end cables (ranging 300-500 dollars) would only cost me as an employee around 3 dollars... You can see the markup is insane.. I still have about 2000 feet of network cable and probably another 2000 of speaker wire I bought while working at both places... We used to also buy the $70 gold USB cables when they first came out for $1.20... near nothing... then we'd take them to staples and do a "no-reciept return" and get like $300 to buy a $250 gig hdd (again, when they first came out)... While it has been many years, I would doubt if today's cables cost any more and would assume they actually cost less to produce.
